Our Work in Asia
There are many organizations working in Asia implementing successful FP/RH programs, with rich experiences and lessons learned. However, organizations working on FP/RH in the region lack knowledge-sharing opportunities for regional cross-learning and have expressed the need for capacity strengthening in KM. Knowledge SUCCESS meets this need by facilitating KM trainings with FP partner organizations, providing KM training and technical assistance to FP/RH workforce members, collaborating with relevant FP/RH organizations to develop and share timely content related to FP/RH in Asia, and supporting collaboration and connection among FP/RH workforce members.

In a society deeply rooted in traditional family customs, it is not common for low-and middle-income families, who live with their parents and siblings together to discuss family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) practices, it remains a taboo.
Blue Ventures started integrating health interventions, addressing a huge unmet need for family planning. We came to understand that we were addressing a health need which is part of a broader ecosystem consisting of conservation, health, livelihood, and other challenges.

Since May 2021, MOMENTUM Nepal has worked with 105 private sector service delivery points (73 pharmacies and 32 polyclinic/clinics/hospitals) in seven municipalities across two provinces (Karnali and Madhesh) to expand their access to high quality, person-centered FP services, especially for adolescents (15-19 years), and young adults (20-29 years).
On January 25, Knowledge SUCCESS hosted “Advancing Self-Care in Asia: Insights, Experiences, and Lessons Learned,” a panel conversation featuring experts from India, Pakistan, Nepal, and West Africa. The speakers discussed the feasibility and future of self-care for family planning (FP) in Asia and lessons learned from program experiences in West Africa.
