Annick Laurence Koussoube

Project Manager, SOS Jeunesses et Défis (SOS/JD)

Annick Laurence Koussoube is a committed feminist and activist specializing in communication to make her voice heard, as well as those of other women and people marginalized by society. She currently works as a project manager for SOS Jeunesse et Défis in Burkina, a youth organization specializing in the promotion and protection of the sexual and reproductive rights of adolescents, young people and women. She is also involved as president of the feminist citizens' movement (FEMIN-IN), and as a member of Sahel Activiste, who fight against all forms of inequality in the Sahel region. Annick Laurence takes every opportunity (including on social networks) to encourage dialogue on feminist issues, and thus take power and use it to fight against all forms of inequality.

The Jeunes en Vigie program aims to address gaps in the availability and accessibility of quality SRHR services for young women by integrating a feminist and human rights perspective into its social audits. This feature story on the Jeunes en Vigie program is one of the three implementation stories selected for a 2024 series on expanding comprehensive sexual and reproductive health access, developed by Knowledge SUCCESS and WHO/IBP Network.
