Please join us for an incredible opportunity! Join us for the “Knowledge Management for Effective Global Health Programs” Summer Institute from June 10 to 14, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (EDT/GMT-4) daily.

We’re thrilled to have CCP’s very own Sara Mazursky and Tara Sullivan co-teaching this dynamic course virtually through Zoom, alongside guest lecturers who will explore exciting topics like Equity and Knowledge Management (KM), Behavioral Science and KM, and real-world applications of KM to regional and nationwide global health initiatives.

Registration ends officially on May 24, 2024. This course is listed under its course number 410.664.79 (virtual).

All full-time CCP staff can use tuition remission for part-time credit and non-credit professional development and personal enrichment courses.

¿Qué aprenderé con este curso?

You will learn how to manage and maximize knowledge and continuous learning in global health programs is a development imperative. Global health programs operate with scarce resources, high stakes, and urgent needs for coordination among partners and donors. KM provides solutions to these challenges.

A través de una combinación de conferencias, estudios de casos, presentaciones y debates, este curso:

  • Introduces participants to knowledge management (KM), behavioral science, and adaptive management principles, processes, and tools, and their applicability to the design and implementation of global health efforts.
  • Demonstrates, through real-life examples, how KM, behavioral science, and adaptive management principles can be applied to strengthen public health systems and maximize available knowledge to reach public health objectives.
  • Emphasizes the importance of culture and equity as drivers for program success.

Upon completing this course, you will be able to:

  1. Explicar el papel de KM en la mejora del desempeño organizacional y la mejora de los resultados de salud global.
  2. Aplicar KM a los programas de salud global utilizando un proceso sistemático de cinco pasos.

After submitting this application, you will receive an email from the BSPH Office of Continuing Education with further instructions on completing this course registration. Information about BSPH tuition fees is available on the Summer Institute tuition page. All staff eligible to participate in the JHU Tuition Remission Plan must provide the Tuition Remission Benefit Application in lieu of payment for tuition.
