WHO Learning By Sharing Portal: Virtual Launch and Story Slam

On July 19, 2022, join WHO, UNFPA, IBP, and partners for the launch the new WHO Learning by Sharing Portal. The Launch and Story Slam will feature implementation stories on sexual and reproductive health and universal health coverage from around the world.

The WHO & UNFPA, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Universal Health Coverage, Learning by Sharing Portal (SRH-UHC LSP) has been under development since April 2020. The LSP profiles national-level implementation stories on advancing access to quality and comprehensive sexual and reproductive as an integral component of wider UHC strategies and processes. The LSP addresses a glaring gap in the evidence and guidance and responds to national level needs for an online resource and evidence-base to support and guide the SRH-UHC integration agenda. Importantly, the LSP showcases national implementation stories of health systems interventions addressing important gaps in financing, delivery and access to SRH services. As the repository of stories grows, it is expected that it will be an important source for generating universal lessons that can be applied in other contexts. The LSP is valuable to all stakeholders who are committed to ensuring that all persons achieve the highest possible level of sexual and reproductive health and rights during their lifetime. This includes governments working towards prioritizing comprehensive SRH interventions as part of UHC processes and health benefit packages, academic organizations utilizing implementation stories as part of teaching/ learning materials and SRH civil society organizations advocating for meaningful participation of beneficiaries, especially those who are most left behind in UHC processes.
