WHO/IBP Network’s HIP Implementation Stories

That One Thing - The one FP/RH update you need to focus on this week

Dear Family Planning Champion,

Evidence-based recommendations for family planning and reproductive health help us plan for the most impact. Sharing real-life experiences of applying those recommendations in different contexts is even more important. What worked well? What didn’t? What did we learn?

In an effort to document country experiences implementing evidence-based WHO guidelines and High Impact Practices in family planning (HIPs), the WHO/IBP Network and Knowledge SUCCESS launched a global storytelling contest. After carefully reviewing and selecting submissions, 15 implementers were selected to tell their stories.

OUR PICK THIS WEEK

WHO/IBP Network's HIP Implementation Stories

Now, you can read the winning implementation stories, available in English, French, and Spanish. And soon, all stories will be translated into all three languages.

The stories document real-life experiences from implementing WHO guidelines and HIP resources, including lessons learned on what works in specific contexts, and challenges faced. The stories are relatively short, at around four-six pages, and provide recommendations, visuals, and references for further reading. The goal is that sharing these experiences can serve to help others better implement, monitor, and measure the use of high impact practices in family planning and reproductive health.
