Dear Family Planning Champion,
Stories about global health in action help to understand what works and what doesn’t. They help paint a picture of implementation and teach us new approaches that can help achieve goals. Do you have a compelling story that demonstrates the power of social and behavior change (SBC) to improve family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) outcomes? Breakthrough ACTION wants to hear from you.
Have an idea for That One Thing? Please send us your suggestions.
10 Lives, 10 Stories, One Message is a global competition held in three regions (sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean) searching for compelling human-interest stories about SBC approaches to improve FP/RH outcomes. Submit your application by June 25 to be considered for First Place: the opportunity to work with a production company to create a professional two-minute video that tells your story. Second place winners’ stories will be turned into a brief and promoted alongside the videos at the launch event. Breakthrough ACTION is accepting applications in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.
Don’t have a story to share? The videos could still be useful for your project or work, and will be available by the end of the year. Check-in with Breakthrough ACTION for updates then.
