Five Asks for Gender-Responsive Global Health Security

The rapid spread of COVID-19 has challenged health systems in unprecedented ways.

Recognizing that women comprise 70% of the health care workforce, Women in Global Health produced a call-to-action resource to highlight that addressing gender inequities can strengthen the response to the pandemic and other health challenges. Using gender-responsive approaches in health care delivery is particularly important for family planning programs, where contraceptive access and services may be affected by gender bias.

Note: Pathfinder International and Women in Global Health presented the five asks in a webinar on elevating women in leadership in response to COVID-19. You can view the recorded webinar here.
