Ouagadougou Partnership (OP) Response to COVID-19
The rapid spread of COVID-19 poses a real threat to the health systems of francophone West Africa, a region already disadvantaged by security and humanitarian challenges.
Last week, the OP launched a new webpage dedicated to the partnership’s response to COVID-19. The page includes:
- an interactive map with real-time pandemic data in the OP’s nine member states
- a statement asserting the coordinating unit’s commitment to support initiatives that will help mitigate the negative impact of COVID-19 on FP/RH in the region
- a guidance document highlighting the OP’s priorities in the fight against COVID-19
- testimonials about COVID-19 by OP focal points
