OUR PICK THIS WEEK

Blog Post: Contraceptives and Menstrual Disorders

Check out this blog post to learn about what the promotion of contraceptive “side benefits” can do for your FP/RH program. The blog covers the following most commonly researched menstrual disorders:

  • Endometriosis
  • Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
  • Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder

Many who suffer from these disorders struggle to obtain treatment that works. Contraception could be the answer. The authors argue that contraceptive research and product developers should understand contraceptive “side benefits” and use this as a starting point for further research.
