That One Thing - The one FP/RH update you need to focus on this week

Dear Family Planning Champion,

For years, as a strategy to increase domestic funding for voluntary family planning, advocates have talked about how investment in voluntary family planning will advance countries’ broader health and development goals.

Our selection this week takes learnings from health programs related to HIV and immunization, which have been experimenting with incentives and performance-based structures to raise domestic funding, and applies them to a new framework for family planning resource mobilization.

OUR PICK THIS WEEK

Can Advocates and Technical Partners Catalyze a Trend Shift in Domestic Resources for Family Planning?

Join HP+ and colleagues on September 15 at 9:00am EDT to explore this question: What can work for family planning to catalyze domestic financing, in line with countries’ broader health and development goals?

HP+ will introduce a new framework, designed to help development partners and advocacy groups work with country governments identify and implement change-making interventions in four areas: advocacy, capacity development, policy, and expansion of the family planning market.
