Menjadikan Kandungan Kami Tersedia kepada Semua Orang: Merapatkan Jurang Kebolehcapaian Web

Content is information in context. We strive to publish content (in the forms of blog posts, videos, podcasts, collections, and more) that’s relevant and timely to family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH) programs.

Last year, we published more than 60 articles on this website. More than 129,900 people visited www.knowledgesuccess.org to read these posts, 70 percent of them coming from countries classified as low- and middle-income. But we know that there are many people we’re not reaching. For some, limited access to the internet and technological resources poses a significant challenge.

Earlier this year, we launched our brand-new quarterly newsletter, Together for Tomorrow, a vibrant compilation showcasing the latest triumphs and breakthroughs within our Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FP/RH) community across Asia, East Africa, and West Africa. It’s a PDF resource that’s intended to be read offline. In a survey last year, we heard that some readers wanted to be able to access content and share it with others, without being dependent on a consistent online connection. Recognizing that not all regions have continuous internet access, we have tailored our blog articles into digest summaries for offline sharing, which bridges the digital divide and benefits everyone.

In the ever-evolving landscape of knowledge exchange and sharing, the journey toward fostering a greater impact begins with prioritizing accessible content FP/RH practitioners can download and apply in their work. Partners in remote areas with intermittent internet access can now download and engage with our content at their convenience, fostering a more inclusive environment for knowledge exchange.

Here are some of the specific challenges that Bersama untuk Esok addresses:

  1. Faster Download Times for Limited Bandwidth:

Understanding the challenges of limited bandwidth in many settings, optimizing our content for faster download times becomes crucial. By excluding images and employing compressed formats, we streamline the user experience, making it more feasible for our partners to access information efficiently. This not only respects the limitations of available infrastructure but also encourages active participation in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  1. Empowering All Voices:

Accessibility options empower all voices to participate in FP/RH conversations. By removing barriers to entry, we create a platform where diverse perspectives and experiences can be shared. This inclusivity fosters a richer understanding of regional challenges, leading to more effective knowledge management strategies that resonate with the unique needs of each community.

  1. Building Sustainable Knowledge Networks:

The ultimate goal is to build sustainable strong local knowledge networks. By prioritizing accessibility, we help to build the foundation for a collaborative and interconnected community of FP/RH practitioners. Knowledge SUCCESS’s aim for our global community is to strengthen their capacity as contributors to the knowledge-sharing ecosystem, driving impactful change and innovation in family planning and reproductive health. As part of our dedication to community engagement, we’ve heard your feedback and are taking action by introducing this newsletter to see how it meets your needs and testing the waters to ensure it’s valuable to you.

  1. Fulfilling Language Needs:

Accessibility extends beyond connectivity – it also includes linguistic diversity. Available in both French and English, we’re providing the printable newsletter in these two languages as our first step ensuring that knowledge is available to a broader audience in the language they prefer. This not only accommodates linguistic variations within our partner’s regions but also opens the door for cross-cultural knowledge exchange, enriching the global conversation on family planning and reproductive health.

Prioritizing accessibility options for everyone is not just about accommodating limitations – it’s about creating an environment where knowledge flows seamlessly across borders. By fostering inclusivity, we unlock the potential for a more vibrant and impactful global community in knowledge management, where every voice, regardless of location or connectivity, contributes to shaping the future of family planning and reproductive health.
