Global Health: Science and Practice (GHSP) is a no-fee, open access, peer-reviewed online journal intended to be a resource for public health professionals who design, implement, manage, evaluate, and otherwise support health programs in low- and middle-income countries. GHSP is published by Knowledge SUCCESS and led by an independent editorial team and board.
GHSP fills an important gap in the scholarly literature for evidence and experience from global health programs implemented under real-world conditions, with specifics on the “how” of implementation—lessons and detail that are often buried in gray literature or not documented at all. GHSP includes articles on all global health topics, including but not limited to family planning, reproductive health, maternal and child health, water and sanitation, nutrition, and communicable and noncommunicable diseases. The journal embraces an interdisciplinary approach and covers a range of cross-cutting issues such as gender, quality improvement, logistics, and supply chain management. GHSP is published 6 times a year. The journal publishes a wide variety of article types, including original research, field action reports, program case studies, viewpoints, and commentaries that consolidate knowledge around a specific topic. This variety allows the journal to be flexible and include articles that may feature less formal evaluation methodologies but important experiential learning.
