Dr. Marguerite Ndour

Project Director, INSPiRE at IntraHealth International

Dr. Marguerite Ndour is the director of the INSPiRE Regional Initiative and heads the IntraHealth International office in Burkina. She is a public health professional with more than 22 years of experience in leading public health projects and programs. During her many years of experience in public health, Dr. Ndour has demonstrated her commitment to reproductive health, family planning, and maternal, newborn and child health. She has worked as Director of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Maternal and Child Health Offices, Projects, and Programs in several international organizations and countries, including PATH Senegal, Population Services International Benin, and the AIDS3 consortium in West Africa for the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). She has also gained considerable experience in organizational development, program management, and evaluation. Dr. Ndour holds a doctorate in medicine from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, a Master’s degree in Tropical Biomedical Sciences/Public Health and a certificate in epidemiology from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium. She is since 2014, a member of IVLP U.S. Department of States Alumni, www.alumni.state.gov, a member of SECONAF (Contraceptive Security in Francophone West Africa), the Integrated PFPP Community of Practice in Francophone West Africa and also a member of the Association of Private Physicians of Senegal since 1999.
