La Communauté de pratique (CdP) régionale d'Afrique de l'Ouest pour la planification familiale du post-partum (PPFP) intégrée à la santé et à la nutrition de la mère, du nouveau-né et de l'enfant (MNCH-N), en partenariat avec le réseau IBP et Knowledge SUCCESS, a organisé un webinaire sur les meilleures pratiques et les leçons apprises en Afrique de l'Ouest, tout en explorant l'importance des soins intégrés centrés sur la personne et les défis communs en Côte d'Ivoire et au Niger.
In 2022, Knowledge SUCCESS collaborated with 128 Collective (formerly Preston-Werner Ventures) to conduct a rapid stock-taking exercise to document the impact of HoPE-LVB, an integrated Population, Health, and Environment (PHE) project in Kenya and Uganda. During all stages of reproductive life, men play an important role in conversations and decisions about contraceptive use, family size, and spacing of children. Yet, even with this decision-making role, they are often left out of family planning and contraceptive programming, outreach, and education efforts.
Knowledge SUCCESS’ Brittany Goetsch chatted recently with Dr. Mohammad Mosiur Rahman, Professor, Department of Population Science and Human Resource Development, University of Rajshahit, the principal investigator (PI) of the research team, to learn how they used secondary data sources to explore the similarities and differences in facility readiness to provide FP services across 10 countries.
A team of four faculty - Isha Karmacharya (lead), Santosh Khadka (co-lead), Laxmi Adhikari, and Maheswor Kafle - from the Central Institute of Science and Technology (CiST) College wanted to study the impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on FP commodities procurement, supply chain, and stock management in Gandaki province to determine if there were any variations and effect on FP service delivery. One of the team members from Knowledge SUCCESS, Pranab Rajbhandari, talked with the study’s Co-Principal Investigator, Mr. Santosh Khadka, to learn about their experiences and learning of designing and implementing this study.
In March 2023, Knowledge SUCCESS (KS) embarked on a process of engaging and supporting Asia KM Champions. KS identified 2-3 champions coming from each of the USAID priority countries in Asia (Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and the Philippines) for a total of 12 KM Champions in the region looking to further strengthen knowledge sharing within and across countries in Asia and to contextualize responses to each countries’ knowledge management needs.
